Rod Cameron
A towering presence on screen and off, 6'4" Canadian actor Rod Cameron was more than just your average Western star. His leathery, wiry-framed physique made him a natural fit for the saddle, but his talent and versatility led him to conquer other genres as well. Born Nathan Roderick Cox in 1910, Cameron grew up in Alberta dreaming of becoming a Royal Canadian Mountie. When those dreams didn't pan out, he turned to acting and quickly found success in New York. But it wasn't until he made the move to California that his true "debut" took place, landing him in an unbilled bit alongside Bette Davis. Although his scene was ultimately cut, Cameron's resilience and determination made him the unforgettable and sought-after star he is remembered as today.
